Rev Phil Greenwood
Vicar
I live with my wife Greta and have five boys, Theo, Lewis, Clay, Rueben and Hugh who are all growing up to fast, I am passionate about seeing people connect with God and encountering his great love for them. When not doing Church stuff I enjoy fishing, golf, good coffee, a sneaky pie and working in the garden with my lovely wife.
Georgia Allen
Youth Leader
I had an awesome childhood growing up in Coffs Harbour, a beachy town in Australia. Since leaving school, I have worked in outdoor recreation ministries in Australia, Canada and New Zealand doing things such as horse riding, archery, dirt-biking and more. I started youth work at St Barnabas church in February 2018 and I absolutely love it!! Some of my favourite things include golden Labradors, green tea and the beach.
Josh Munro

Hi my name is Josh. I am the intern for St Barnabas. I have many roles within the church. I run a young adults group once a week called “The House”. I am the tech guy who records the live stream of every Sunday service. I am currently a Bible College student at Bishopdale Theological college.
David Cowdrey
Secretary
I joined St Barnabas in 2009 tasked with administration, events coordination, publishing and promotions. I previously worked in printing, publishing, design and logistics management. I have been married to Denise for over 40 years and we have three adult children and five grandchildren. I love my work, playing guitar, listening to music, old cars, books, food, wine and hanging with friends and family.
Angela Galbraith
I have been married to Andrew for forty seven years. We have three adult children and six grandchildren who bring us much joy. My passion is spending time with our elders, reminding them they are beloved children of God. I enjoy encouraging them in their faith and finding creative ways to nurture spiritual well-being. I love to walk, read, listen to music, bake and do word games and quizzes. I also enjoy my garden and am thankful to Andrew for doing all the hard work in it!
Greta Greenwood
Children’s Coordinator
Kia ora te whanau, I am Greta Greenwood. I am married to Phil and we have 5 boys. I have been a primary school teacher for over 25 years and over-sea the kid’s ministry at St Barnabas. I believe that all ages have things to learn and offer each other, just like a wider family. It is such a delight to be part of our children’s journey to become faith-filled believers.
Eric Sears
After 35 years of full-time ministry in the Nelson Diocese I retired in 2012, but still have various roles at St Barnabas, including occasional preaching, helping with services and a rest home service. Other interests include still doing some tramping trips, though its getting harder to find anyone my age to tramp with! As an amateur radio operator I also build miniature transceivers to use with my tramping. Radio is about communication, and it has a parallel with the Christian faith – which is about communicating or making known the good news of Jesus. That’s what we seek to do at St Barnabas.
Joy Bradley
I am a “semi-retired “clergy person whose ministry was mostly in Motueka parish for 20 years. I “retired”to Nelson in 2014 and now help out with worship leading and celebrating Communion at the 8.30 service and taking the whole service at mid week Communion once a month. As well I lead a weekly home group of all older women. I have a son and daughter and 5 teenage grandsons and enjoy walking, my garden, reading and art .
