Good morning and a warm welcome to all. If you are visiting with us today, we would love to get to know you. Please feel free to stay for a hot drink after the service.

Church camp was held at Kaiteriteri last weekend, with over 160 attending. What a great weekend we had, with amazing times of worship, fellowship and fun in the sun. There where over 60 children who had great fun with their different groups and activities. The church cricket competition was won by some of St Barnabas children and a somewhat over competitive Vicar!

We had great preaching from Bishop Richard and Andrew Burges on Covenant and Kingdom. The worship was led by Luke and his band City of Light and they did an amazing job. One of the children I was talking to said that band should be famous they are so good. I know I have used the words great and amazing a lot but it really was a special weekend. Thanks for all your prayer and support and we look forward to doing it all again next year.

We are looking for a small team of people to help with Orphans Aid International annual Street Appeal. Council approval has been given for Saturday 12 March 2016. Orphans Aid International is a Charitable Trust founded and run by people who care about the marginalised and disadvantaged amongst us. They care about the child who has no parent, the child who has no home, the child who is not loved. They care enough to do something about it. By collecting for them, we can support their passion to see children loved and cared for. We need three or four people to make this happen; there is a sign-up sheet in the foyer.

Note that our 10.30am Wednesday Reflective Service will change from 10.30am to 11.00am on 2 March. A light lunch will follow. Monthly lunches will be held on the first Wednesday of each month and parishioners are welcome to invite friends and neighbours. Entry is by gold coin.

At 7.00pm on Saturday 12 March so the  Banquet in the Garden Missions fundraiser dinner is on. It is organised each year by one of the home groups. This has always been a great night out and a lot of fun, so get a group together and come along.

Yours in Christ

Philip
