Good morning and a warm welcome to all. If you are visiting with us today, we would love to get to know you. Please feel free to stay for a hot drink after the service.

This week we welcome Kathy King to our staff team. Kathy’s role will be working with in the community with seniors and will involve organising community events which facilitate and enhance the lives of retired people. She will also act as an advocate for seniors (individuals or groups), and provide opportunities for seniors to become involved in community outreach.  Kathy will be in the office Wednesday mornings if you would like to make contact with her.

We have been approached by the NCC about the sale of the Vicarage and land at the back of the Church. There has been a small team of Vestry members that have been meeting with NCC over the last 12 months. We have come to the point where Vestry has approved the idea and agreed to go through the process for this sale to take place. For this to happen we need approval from Vestry, Parishioners (you), the Diocese Trust Board, and finally the Diocese Standing Committee. There will be a special Church meeting at 7.00pm Thursday 3 March in the church.

In the pew sheet this morning there is an insert with information that explains in more detail the pros and cons and will hopefully help answer some of your questions. Please be assured this is a process and every effort will be made to hear and consider your views. Please feel free to talk to vestry members or myself with any questions.

We are looking for a small team of people to help with Orphans Aid International annual Street Appeal. Council approval has been given for Saturday 12th March 2016. Orphans Aid International is a Charitable Trust founded and run by people who care about the marginalised and disadvantaged amongst us. A signup sheet is in the foyer.

Next weekend 19-21 February is Convergence family camp for 2016. This is a great opportunity for us as a church family to go away together for the weekend, to spend some time worshiping, learning, having fun, in one of the most beautiful parts of NZ.  If you are coming for the day can you let us know?

Remember there is only one service next Sunday at 9.30am.

Yours in Christ

Philip
