The Inside Column 1/2

Good morning and a warm welcome to all. If you are visiting with us we would love to get to know you after the service. Please feel free to stay for a hot drink.

This Morning Eric will be sharing a message about the Glory of God. Today, as always, it is important to remind ourselves of the amazing splendour and power of God – Father, Son and Spirit. Sometimes the things God does (even in our own lives,) can seem so out of the box, so extraordinary and amazing that it blows our minds!

Incredibly through Christ and by the Holy Spirit’s power we get to share in the splendour and glory of God. Astounding right? We get to take onboard and share this glory with others by reflecting this glory of God in how we live our lives. Something to think about.

On another note – church camp is not far away. Have you booked in yet? This year we are not having one big name speaker; there will be a variety of local speakers. The theme for the camp is Finding our Way Again and there will be different formats to help us unpack and explore this topic. Part of the camp will be to putting in to practice what we will be talking about with break out groups.

There will be times of corporate worship and prayer ministry in all the sessions as well. Bishop Richard will be leading communion on the Sunday morning.

Convergence Camp dates are Friday 20 February to Sunday 22 February.

Prices are:
Single $60
Couple $100
Family $140.

Registration forms are in the foyer. There is limited space (especially if you are after a cabin). Those who pay and book first will get the comfy beds!

On Sunday 22 February we will be having a 9.30am Combined Service at St Barnabas for those not at camp

The office is only open from 8.30am -12.30pm Tuesday and Wednesday this week owing to the Public Holidays. Please make sure you get any notices in for the Pew sheet by noon Tuesday.

School is back on the horizon for many families, as we begin to look toward the hectic nature for many of work, family and life – let us prioritise always the hope and call of Jesus: to be a part of His Kingdom and to follow him!

Yours in Christ

Jonathan
