The Inside Column 16/11

Good morning and a warm welcome to all.

If you are visiting with us we would love to get to know you after the service. Please feel free to stay for a hot drink.

Over the last couple of weeks we have been thinking about how we can hear God more in our daily  lives. This week we will be looking at Spiritual Pathways, the ways that we most naturally meet with God. These paths of course have a strong link to our personality.

The Message Bible sometimes can make us think in a new light about a bible verse that we might know very well. I found this to be the case with  Psalm 121.

   1-2 I look up to the mountains;

                does my strength come from

No, my strength comes from GOD,

who made heaven, and earth, and mountains.

3-4 He won’t let you stumble,

your Guardian God won’t fall asleep.

                Not on your life! Israel’s

Guardian will never doze or sleep.

        5-6 GOD’s your Guardian,

right at your side to protect you—

                Shielding you from sunstroke,

                sheltering you from moonstroke.

7-8 GOD guards you from every evil,

                he guards your very life.

He guards you when you leave and when you return,

he guards you now, he guards you  always.

As Jonathan was saying last week God is always with us, he is our strength and our hope.
