Good morning and a very warm welcome to you all. If you are a visitor we hope you will stay for a cuppa after the service.

Jonathan and Lucy’s wedding last weekend up at the lake in the rain was a time of great joy. Sometimes at weddings it just feels right and this was one of those weddings where everybody knew the Jonathan and Lucy where right for each other. While Lucy was coming into the church Jonathan waited with big smile on his face and as Lucy stepped to his side Jonathan got out his phone camera and took a selfy!

Jonathan will be away for the next two weeks and I am sure he will be more than happy to show us all some of the wedding photos when he gets back.

Quiz Night – Quiz Night – Quiz Night – Quiz Night
Our Quiz night is coming up fast, so get your team together now for an evening of fun and fundraising. On Friday 25 July starting at 7.00pm we will be running our world famous (in Stoke) Quiz night. The cost this year is $100 for a team of up to 8 people, with all the profits going to support the work of the church and the work that Jonathan is involved in with Stoke Youth.

This is a great opportunity to bring family and friends or people from work to the church and for them to have a great fun night. Get your team booked in now.

We are also looking for some prizes for the prizes table – a nice bottle of wine, ask your boss for a donation, we have had people give their baches for a weekend stay for us to auction off. It all helps. Tickets from David in the church office.

We will soon be looking for people to help on our next fundraiser, the Church Fair. The date for the fair is Saturday 1 November, so put it in your diary now. There is a small team that helps to put the fair on and we are looking for new people to come on board. We will start our planning meetings early next month so if you are interested and have some good ideas please come and see me. Now might be a good time to start putting aside things for the white elephant and begin thinking about how you could contribute. The more people we have to help run the fair, the easier it is for everyone.

Prayer Meetings start again this Tuesday from 7.30am – 8.30am. I’m interested to hear from you about when would be the best time for us to meet for prayer.

God Bless

Philip
