Good Morning and a very warm welcome to all. If you are visiting with us today we pray you will feel at home here at St Barnabas. Please make yourself known and feel welcome to stay for tea or coffee after the service.

Shine carols on the lawn this week, bring some friends, bring a picnic tea, sing some carols, there will be a BBQ going and of course the lolly scramble. Please pray for the weather to be good, if it is not good we will move into the church, So come rain or shine come to Shine!
Then on Sunday 15 December we have our traditional Christingle family service at 10.00am. On Christmas Eve Tuesday 24 December we have our midnight candlelight service with communion at 11.00pmOur Christmas Day service will be at a communion service on 25 December at 9.30am.

Christmas is of course a time for us to be a witness to the wider community that don’t normally come to church. Pray for our Christmas services. Invite your neighbours, friends and family to join with us as we celebrate the birth of Christ together.

Jonathan will be finishing his youth programme this coming Friday, thanks to all the people that have been able to provide food for the evening groups, it has been a real blessing. Last year we were able to give many of the youth Jonathan works with a small gift of toiletries like deodorant, toothbrushes, soap, and fragrances. We would love to be able to do this again, so if you would like to donate to this you can bring your gift and put it in the food basket on Sunday or come and drop it of a the office.

Don’t forget to sign up for the upcoming February church camp at Kaiteriteri. Only Dormitory cabin accommodation is left. There are still plenty of spaces left for camping, but get in quickly as we have limited space available .

For your information the church office will be closed from the 24 December until 21 January 2014. Marianne James and Jonathan will be looking after any emergencies over this time. Their phone numbers are on the back of the pew sheet..

God Bless
Philip
