The Inside Column 3/11

Good morning and a warm welcome to all. If you are visiting with us we would love to get to know you after the service. Please feel free to stay for a hot drink.

Last week the youth group had the weekend away at spring camp. I have spoken to some of the youth that went and they all said they had an amazing time. From my own experience, camp can be where we experience God for the first time, where we have time away from our normal everyday life and we can encounter God in a whole new way. I ask that we all pray for the youth and their leaders, even more over the next couple weeks. Ask especially that what has been planted in them will not be stolen away, but will grow.

Talking about camps… we are having a church camp early next year. We have booked Bethany Park at Kaiteriteri and managed to get a couple of world class speakers. Now all we need is you. If you can’t make it to the whole weekend then you can come for the Saturday or the Sunday.

I would love as many of you that can to come over for the Sunday morning, we will be having communion with Bishop Richard.

So, calling all families young and old to camp 2014. Pick up a flyer and register today; there are limited cabin spaces – first in the first served!

A big thank you to everyone that helped with the church fair yesterday, it is only us we all work together and do our little bit that events like this can happen.

One of the highlights of the fair is always the fellowship that takes place and I know this year, even with all the hard work you have all done, it will be the time spent together working for the same goal that will be the lasting memory.

The question for the day – for those of you reading this during the sermon – how many of the disciples were fishermen?

Yours in Christ

Philip

P.S. We had a great turnout to the fair and made $6500 profit, which is a real blessing!
