The Inside Column 9/10

Good morning and a warm welcome to all.

Last week’s fundraiser movie The Holy Roller was a great success with over 100 people coming along to see the move, we raised about $1000. A big thank you goes to Anne Egan and her team for putting on this advent and providing a great afternoon tea.

Greta and I put on a pizza and movie for the children of church parents so they could go to see the movie together, we had ten children and a lot of fun us well.

The church fair is next week. We need every one to come and lend a hand, there are signup sheets in the foyer, this is our major fundraiser for the year, and many hands make light work. Apart from being our big fundraiser it is always great fun to come along and all work together for a common goal.

New Wine is coming back to town. All Saints is hosting New Wine on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 November. Friday is the Leader’s day and Saturday is open to anyone who wants to attend. The main speaker is John Hughes UK, church leader, international speaker, author, and  father of  musician Tim Hughes (writer of Here I am to Worship and Consuming Fire and many more contemporary worship songs).

The vision of New Wine is to see the nation changed through Christians and churches being filled with the Holy Spirit, alive with the joy of  knowing and worshipping Jesus Christ, living out his word, and doing the works of the Kingdom of God. This will be a great event and one I would encourage as many of you that can to get along on   Saturday and take advantage of this world class speaker. You can register online at  newwine.org.nz or call 0800 NEW WINE (639 9463). Brochures are in the foyer for more information.

First week of school holidays, have a great week.

Yours in Christ

Philip
