The Inside Column 2/10

Good morning and a warm welcome to you all.

I would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to the church family and all the people that have been so supportive over the last couple of weeks, with the arrival of our latest little boy Hugh James Greenwood. He is doing very well and sleeps a lot!

Both Greta and I have been bowled over with the amount of cards and food that we have received, we have felt very blessed.

Greta was talking with her mid wife and telling her how much support we were getting and the mid wife said that in her experience it is always the families that are involved with Churches that get supported the most when a new little one comes along.

It has been truly a blessing to be part of this faith community and be on the receiving end of your love and generosity.

Holy Roller today at 3.30pm. It’s not too late to come along and bring some friends, there will be door sales at the Suter Cinema $20.

Greta and I will be putting on a movie and some games starting from 3.15 at the church for the children of parents that would like to go and see Holy Roller. Let us know this morning if you want us to look after your children and go to the movie.

The latest version of the church magazine St Barnabas Focus is out today. Thanks to David for all his hard work. Make sure you grab a copy and check out all things that are coming up in the next couple of months.

Just a reminder that the 945 Sunday second service starts with a time of coffee and food, and is well worth the effort of coming a little earlier. Having the time to spend some time together, getting to know each other and creating a warm environment for newcomers to feel welcome is what it is all about.

Have a great week

Yours in Christ
